Bill Goodwin is a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) and licensed by the Government of Alberta under the Home Inspection Business Regulation. Bill meets or exceeds a Code of Excellence and is a member of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI). Bill is also an ATB Financial-approved inspector and has conducted more than 200 inspections for that banking institute throughout the region – mostly new home, mortgage-draw inspections at various stages of construction. Bill is often recommended by other institutions as well, based on his experience, training and qualifications.

The Inspector shall perform inspections according to and/or exceeding the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) Standards and agrees to abide by this Code of Excellence.
The Inspector shall treat all of his Clients in the same professional manner and shall not allow any interest in any business or person to affect the quality or results of his inspection work.
The Inspector shall inspect the home and all major components of the home in accordance with CAHPI Inspection Standards, and shall ensure that the Inspection Report is completed as per CAHPI Standards.
The Inspector shall avoid conflicts of interest by neither accepting nor offering commissions or allowances, directly or indirectly.
The Inspector shall offer an opinion only when it is based on technical training, practical experience and honest belief, and in accordance with CAHPI Inspection Standards.
The Inspector shall recommend that, if the condition of the inspected area is such that it is beyond the scope of the inspection, the Client obtain the advice of outside professional expertise.
The Inspector shall provide the Inspection Report to the Client on completion of inspection, but shall not disclose any information concerning the results of the Inspection without the approval of the Client.
The Inspector shall endeavour to support and advance the professional reliability, integrity, esteem of and confidence in the Home Inspection industry.
The Inspector shall not express an opinion as to the advisability of the purchase of the home.
The Inspector shall not provide (recommended) repair estimates.
The Inspector shall not provide endorsements of any kind.
